My marketing journey

After spending seven years at Apple including a role at the company’s headquarters in Silicon Valley, I began my career in digital marketing. My time at Apple was an amazing opportunity that taught me a great deal about the ins and outs of the world’s most valuable company and what it takes to make a brand successful.

I then joined a marketing agency in Austin, Texas, where I was responsible for generating profits for clients through paid search campaigns. While there, I learned the importance of building strong client relationships and trust, as well as how to manage advertising budgets to maximize profits.

As my experience with paid search campaigns grew, I was given more responsibilities within paid media. I expanded my skillset to include paid social services such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube advertising.

From there, I joined an in-house marketing team at an e-commerce SaaS company. In addition to leveraging my paid search and paid social knowledge, I focused heavily on Google Shopping campaigns and e-commerce related features within Facebook to support e-commerce clients. I was able to generate phenomenal returns on investments for ad budgets of all sizes.

Following a successful stint at the SaaS company, I accepted a role at another tech company with more responsibility overseeing larger aspects of marketing. As a Senior Growth Marketing Manager, I was tasked with hitting large monthly recurring revenue (MRR) goals and an eight-figure annual recurring revenue (ARR) goal. This exciting role had me presenting plans and providing bi-weekly updates to the company’s COO, CMO, VP of Growth, VP of Sales, and several directors. I was trusted to work across departments and involve any team that I needed in order to hit the company’s financial targets. Despite a shaky economy, the team exceeded our ARR goal by 5%.

However, at the beginning of 2023, my team and I were notified of company-wide layoffs. Although I had an amazing time at my recent company, I believe that the next step in my journey is something bigger, better, and something I can call my own.
